Simplifying Updating

New feature in fastProject 4.7.3 is a function that simplifies and speeds up the team Update process. You can hide the start and end dates during update.

We rarely collect actual start and end dates, unless the historical data is being used for cycle-time metric analysis. For the most part, relative "actual" start and end dates are all that is needed, since this is historical information anyway and it is being updated within the past week. You can turn off the dates (hide) using fastProject Options/Refresh. If you need to set specific actual start and end dates for completed or in-progress tasks, use the individual Update tool (Update Task). This tool will always show dates.
